La pregunta no era qu\u00e9 construir, sino qu\u00e9 merec\u00eda esa esquina: la de las casas de colores, una de las m\u00e1s fotografiadas de Mazatl\u00e1n, a pasos de la Plazuela Machado, del Teatro \u00c1ngela Peralta y de Olas Altas.<\/p>\n<p>La respuesta fue no hacer &#8220;otro desarrollo&#8221;. Fue hacer un edificio que respetara la escala, los colores y el ritmo del Centro Hist\u00f3rico, y que por dentro ofreciera lo que el Centro nunca hab\u00eda tenido: residencias contempor\u00e1neas, alberca climatizada en patio central, gimnasio, \u00e1rea de masajes y vapor, coworking y elevador a todos los niveles.<\/p>\n<h2>Obra con el INAH, 2022\u20132024<\/h2>\n<p>La construcci\u00f3n comenz\u00f3 en febrero de 2022 con acompa\u00f1amiento del Instituto Nacional de Antropolog\u00eda e Historia, y el edificio abri\u00f3 sus puertas en agosto de 2024. Cada decisi\u00f3n de fachada, altura y color pas\u00f3 por ese di\u00e1logo: el resultado es un edificio nuevo que parece haber estado siempre ah\u00ed.<\/p>\n<figure><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"data:image\/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAAAAACH5BAEKAAEALAAAAAABAAEAAAICTAEAOw==\" alt=\"Villa Vicario visto desde la calle, Centro Hist\u00f3rico de Mazatl\u00e1n\" width=\"819\" height=\"1024\" class=\"lazyload\" data-src=\"https:\/\/villavicario.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/2.1-BRIEF-VV.-1.-carrusel-819x1024.jpg\"><figcaption>Hist\u00f3rico por fuera. Contempor\u00e1neo por dentro.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<h2>Un nombre con historia<\/h2>\n<p>Lleva el nombre de Leona Vicario, una de las figuras fundamentales de la Independencia de M\u00e9xico: una mujer cuyo valor, convicci\u00f3n y esp\u00edritu independiente inspiraron la identidad del proyecto. Su legado est\u00e1 presente desde el propio s\u00edmbolo del edificio, la leona.<\/p>\n<p>Al fondo del lobby, sobre la alberca, un mural monumental de Leona Vicario domina el espacio. Hoy Villa Vicario es una comunidad establecida: vecinos que caminan al mercado, que reciben a sus hijos en diciembre, que rentan su residencia cuando viajan.
